Brittany Ferries – Plymouth
Brittany Ferries was searching for a reliable security company to manage ferry passenger boarding. They requested ticket checks to ensure all boarding was authorised, random baggage searches and the general safety of passengers travelling between Plymouth and Roscoff and the Roscoff to Plymouth return leg. They approached Titan to supply the service.
Our Solution
Working alongside Brittany Ferries staff out of Plymouth, we provided a team of 5 security guards and a site supervisor. It was important for this role to focus on both security and customer assistance.
Our team were carefully selected to ensure that they had been trained in customer service skills, so that ticket checks and searches were conducted in a friendly manner while at the same time directing and assisting passengers.
Results
The contract was during peak summer travel when ferries were busy. Our on-site supervisor worked closely with Brittany’s staff to ensure that the boarding and disembarking checks were conducted appropriately and that the ferries were safe spaces for passengers.
